Shooting Drill: Cone Shooting
With this drill you can improve shooting from the various spots on the floor and add competitiveness.
Setup:
Setup five cones in the low-post area, the free-throw line, free-throw line extended and on top of the key. Depending on the skills of your players you can add more cones. If necessary, increase (or reduce) the distance to the basket so your players can work on the proper technique without using too much strength. Two pairs of players can go to one half of the court. One player is the passer/rebounder, the other one is the shooter.
Motivating Yourself

A lot of people forget that being motivated has a lot to do with the correct mindset, that enables you to keep yourself pushing forward and improving yourself. You have to train your brain, just like any other muscle, and have a strategy for this.

The most common theory is that the pain has its origin in the midriff, which divides the chest and the stomach area. When doing high-intensity sports like basketball, all muscles in the body require a lot more blood. The blood flow into the midriff decreases significantly, and in turn will move less oxygen into this particular muscle. This causes a convulsion which starts to pain.

Do I have the right players in my team? Perhaps, this is one of the toughest questions, if you are a coach who is looking to recruit new players for the upcoming season. Choosing the right players is the initial step to being a strong and successful team.
The quickest way to get started is to make use of available scouting databases to break down the ability of a particular player without any other restrictions. You can sort the results by various parameters, like playing position or by individual stats. In whatever sport you are in, a significant amount of time is used just to find the right players for a new team. In Basketball for example, the process includes the position or role the player has to take for the team. The evaluation can be based on the physical form, knowledge and skills of the sport, as well as attitude.
