Review: KBA Playmaker Basketball Clipboard with Dry Erase Marker
I’m planning to write about some of my coaching tools for the next couple of blog posts. I’m sure that every good coach has some handy helpers, which aid him in being organized, prepared and professional. Today I’d like to share with you one of my most important assets: My Coaching Clipboard.
Now, there are a lot of good coaching clipboards available, and I’ve had a lot of them, but for the last 5 years I have sticked to one particular clipboard, the KBA Playmaker SPM-16.

Some men coach, and some men are Coaches. Roy Williams, the current head coach at the University of North Carolina is, without any question a Coach. Not only has he coached different sports, but also succeeds. The title of his autobiography is “Hard Work: A Life On and Off the Court”.
Born in Marion, North Carolina, Smith moved around a lot as a child. For High School, Williams’ family relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. In Asheville, Williams would go to High School at T.C. Roberson High School and lettered in both baseball and basketball. After winning multiple accolades in basketball, as well as playing in the annual North Carolina Blue-White All-Star Game as a senior. Williams was also named captain for his team.

Wooden lead the UCLA Bruins to 10 national championships and lead the team to 4 undefeated seasons in the 60’s and 70’s. It is tough for any coach to even dream of matching those credentials, but Ben Howland is definitely been on the right track.

Today I want to tell you about a website, BallSide.com, I’ve discovered some time ago. BallSide.com was developed at the German Sports University in Cologne and has been online since early 2010.
Disclosure: I’ve been provided with a scout account to have a close up look at their offered service! Nonetheless this will not affect my opinions I will be sharing with you in the following articles.
In short, coaches can use this free Basketball Coaching Software to easily organize their teams, analyze detailed player and team statistics, and save a lot of time by doing this. For example, it is no longer necessary to create elaborate mailing lists, only to find out that the e-mail address of a player is wrong and you are not able to get important information out to the right place.

As the head coach of the Villanova University Wildcats, Wright has been named as a winner of the annual Fashionable Four, a tournament held by GQ magazine, that awards the best dressed coach in college Basketball. He has parlayed his success in amateur-unintentional modeling into success on the court reaching post-season play with Villanova for the past seven years, including a Final Four appearance in 2009.
