Today I want to tell you about a website, BallSide.com, I’ve discovered some time ago. BallSide.com was developed at the German Sports University in Cologne and has been online since early 2010.

Disclosure: I’ve been provided with a scout account to have a close up look at their offered service! Nonetheless this will not affect my opinions I will be sharing with you in the following articles.

In short, coaches can use this free Basketball Coaching Software to easily organize their teams, analyze detailed player and team statistics, and save a lot of time by doing this. For example, it is no longer necessary to create elaborate mailing lists, only to find out that the e-mail address of a player is wrong and you are not able to get important information out to the right place.

One of the best ways that you can report on your team’s progress and look at ways that you can improve player performance is through keeping statistics that you can review quickly and efficiently.

There are a number of different ways that you can compile and review statistics but knowing which statistics to record is just as important as knowing how to keep them in an organized and efficient manner. It may not be enough to keep overall win-loss records for your team you also want to keep track of individual player performance as well.

Learning how to analyze game statistics effectively and accurately to get the information you need is critical to your success as a coach and your team’s chances of achieving victory.

There are a number of different ways to analyze game statistics. Much thought has been given to getting the information you want with a minimum of time and effort. Learning how to scan a sheet of numbers and gain a perspective on how your team is performing is one of the greatest skills a coach can have because they can take that information and use it to determine what kind of drills to run and which players to concentrate on.
