I found a set of three videos published by the FIBA World Association of Basketball Coaches this week, which I’d like to share with you. I love listening to coaches in clinics. Getting to know other concepts on how the solve different situations in the game of Basletball in a didactical way, has always been my fascination.

Besides visiting the FIBA Coaching Library with loads of well-document information, I really recommend attending coaching clinics in your area, especially when high-class coaches are giving lectures!

Here are the three live recordings:

01. The Cutthroat Defense Drill by Aik Ho
Aik Ho (Assistant Coach of the New Zealand womens national Basketball team) shows his concept of how he teaches fundamentals.

02. Teaching Fundamental Drills by Brett Brown
Brett Brown demonstrates how they use the Cutthroat Defense drills. Brown is is a basketball coach is the head coach of the Australia national basketball team (the “Boomers”) and also works in the NBA as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs.

03. Simplicity and Specificity Drills by Carrie Graf
Carrie Graf is an Australian basketball coach and she competed in the WNBL as a player starting during 1983–1989. Carrie has gained a lot of experience by coaching teams in the WNBL, WNBA and Australia’s national team. She has been honoured for her contribution to basketball coaching.
